Get More Sales Leads - Xomox inc.
Xomox (www.xomox.com), with
headquarters in Cincinnati, was founded in 1956 for the purpose of
manufacturing high quality industrial valves and actuators under several brand
names. They distribute their products worldwide. On the surface Xomox appears
to be just another "old economy" company set apart from the dynamic world of
electronic B2B commerce, but that impression would be misleading. Xomox
understands the Internet quite well. ViewSource Media worked with Xomox to
develop an internet marketing strategy and tactics to drive substantially more
sales.
ViewSource believes that all B2B marketing oriented web sites, if implemented
effectively, can accomplish four of the five recognized steps in a typical
sales cycle: 1) Identify prospects, 2) Qualify those prospects, 3) Develop a
rapport with these select prospects, 4) Present solutions, and then 5) Close
the sale. Again, the web site is an excellent platform to performing those
first four time-consuming steps; but we're humble enough to recognize that
closing the sale on a complex B2B product or service is still best left to
sales professionals.
So how did ViewSource assist Xomox in getting more qualified sales leads via
the Internet? ViewSource impressed upon Xomox that the best way to reach
prospective buyers at work at the moment they are looking for your product or
service was online. White-collar professionals on average spend over two hours
online; and when they're looking for a non-retail type product or service
Internet search engines are the research tool of choice for most.
The results:
- Bona fide sales leads increased 245% (September 2002 – September 2003);
- Return on investment, thus far, is an advertising-to-sales ratio of $1:$24 (meaning $24 in sales revenue for every $1 spent), and this doesn’t even take in to account the lifetime value of a customer.
- Over 120 new customers acquired between September 2002 – September 2003
